I've had a rough past few days. Sorry I haven't been posting.

My family went camping over Labor Day weekend (which was a super fun experience), but my camera (that I took a whole bunch of great pics on from this first official camping trip) disappeared! I've been pretty bummed out since Sunday. It's sad to know that I will never have those pictures. The cost of a new camera and the fact that I needed to replace it ASAP (since it was my blogging camera) added to my sadness.

Things could always be worse, though. Right? On the bright side, I am very grateful that our camping experience was a super fun one. The boys made new friends, loved sleeping in a tent, ate their Coleman grill-cooked meals with more enthusiasm than meals made at home, learned new games, got to stay up late, ate lots of snacks, earned a few extra dollars and then spent them on candy at the campground store, and had a blast trying out the many campground-organized activities.

I am grateful that we DID capture a couple photos on our iphones. Not the best photos, but better than nothing.

Here are Nick, their new friend Aaron, and Luke balancing as they walk the stones around the fire pit.

Here they are with a load of other kiddos from the campground getting ready to ride the resident fire truck.

I am also extremely grateful that I had another camera at home so I could record and remember the first day of school Tuesday.

And I can't event tell you how grateful I am that I have healthy, happy children that will probably remember highlights of their first camping trip even without zillions of photos.

Hey…

I think blogging about this is helping me get back to my cheerful self.

Who has a birthday to celebrate?
My good friend Belinda's husband celebrated his 44th during our camping trip.

Here's a card for you, Dray Darnell. Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday card made with Watercolor Wonder washi tape and Sassy Salutations stamp set #stampyourartout #stampinup - Stampin’ Up!® - Stamp Your Art Out! www.stampyourartout.com

It's a super simple and quick one to make. Tear off and tape on the washi tape, stamp the words, attach the sequins on with glue dots, and tie on the baker's twine adding a strand of sequin trim to the knot.
(Thank you, Tami Waddell for giving me the card that inspired this one. I pretty much copied yours except changed the words. LOL)
