Tomorrow is the day that Stampin' Up! demonstrators can order from the upcoming Occasions catalog & also get in on upcoming Sale-A-Bration items. It's just one of the many perks I love! And when demonstrators have products early, they can prepare projects for their upcoming events/parties and samples to share - which is what I am going to do now! (Join today and get in on the demonstrator preorder period!)
Thankfully by attending the September Founders Circle and the November OnStage events, I DID already gather up a few soon-to-be new products. This card features the beautiful Birthday Blooms set from the Occasions catalog.
- Crumb Cake card stock - 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" folded in half at 4-1/4"
- Crumb Cake 1-1/4" Striped Grosgrain ribbon - 5-1/2"
- Whisper White - 3" x 4" scrap
I used the Blender Pen to "watercolor" the flower image. Squeeze your already closed ink pad so that the pad puts ink onto the inside cover of the pad. Then open your pad and just dip the Blender Pen into the small splotch of ink. Start where you want the darkest shade, and color moving the pen outward towards where you want the lightest color. Move slowly. To remove color from the pen, just run it onto scrap paper until it's light enough (or until it runs clear so you can dip it into another color).
Blender pens are a little bit of work, but I think you can get a much more controlled watercolor look than with the Aquapainters or a paint brush. They are one of my favorite tools and they work with any water-soluble color products (pencils, chalks, etc.).
Thanks for visiting today!
