I shared a set of cards on June 9th with raised letters on foam sheets. Thanks to our Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets that are new in the 2017-18 Annual Catalog, the raised word, "Hugs" was easy to create and adhere on those cards.
Today I'm sharing a similar card. At the time I created this one though, (in late May) the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets was not a product that was available for demonstrators to preorder. At that time the 2017-18 Annual Catalog wasn’t live, but I used some of the new products that I COULD order early: the Delightful Daisy Designer Paper, the Happy Birthday Thinlit, and the Glimmer Enamel Dots. Don't you love how the words pop up off the card!? :)
I love the look of this card. It would have been so much easier and way quicker to put together had I used the new Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets on the back of the designer paper piece and on the back of the foam piece, but I still went ahead and made the card with what I had at the time. I even took pictures so that you could see the more laborious way I went about adding raised lettering. Hahaha
By the way, all the products that I needed for this card are listed below and linked to my online store in case you are interested in purchasing any of it.
After adhering a strip of 2" x 4" designer paper to my 5-3/8" x 4-1/8" Whisper White cardstock, I ran this through the Big Shot with a piece of dryer sheet underneath so that the die-cut pieces would stay together. (The dryer sheet acts as a sticky note and it doesn't get cut up by the die.)
Then I cut the foam sheet.
I attached the 5-3/8" x 4-1/8" Whisper White piece to the 11" x 4-1/4" Whisper White card base piece (already folded in half) using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and a sponge making sure every part had glue.
Next I attached the foam words in place...
...and the designer paper die-cut words on top of the foam the same way - with sponged-on Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Notice I left the other designer paper die-cut pieces on the dryer sheet.
This last step took the longest and the required some patience. I took each of those remaining pieces and adhered them one at a time back into the areas they came from.
For the very small pieces the paper-piercing tool came in handy.
Then I just embellished the card with a few Glitter Enamel Dots and...
...Wink of Stella painted on the raised lettering. It's hard to see in the photo, but each letter is glittery.
My family has been on a road-trip since Saturday. We are driving through 7 states and visiting several national parks. And we are having a fabulous time.
Today we get to see Yellowstone!! I'm gathering up photos and planning to share a few this weekend (hoping by Sunday) of what we've seen so far.
Products I used to make this card:
- dryer sheet
- foam sheet (white)
