Maybe I'll use lighter color inks next time (my words don't stand out as much as I want them to), but I still needed to share these fun cards I created with the help of Sponge Daubers.
For each card I started by stamping my message image in Tuxedo Black ink into on my 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Whisper White cardstock. Then I took Sponge Daubers and added one set of colored dots at a time. (All products I used are listed below and linked to my online store.)
Each dot was made by pouncing the dauber a few times onto my ink pad to pick up ink and then pressing the dauber onto the cardstock and giving it a little twist back and forth to intensify the color.
I added a few more dots of my first colors after I had put all the colors on the cardstock so that I could balance things out a bit.
Then I trimmed my white cardstock in four places. I made two cuts just outside my message image and then two more beyond those cuts about 3/8" inches away. Then I placed them all aligned on the 4-1/4" x 11" Basic Black cardstock base piece.
I adhered the two outer pieces with SNAIL Adhesive first. Then I place Dimensionals on the remaining pieces (one thickness on the thinner strips and two thicknesses on the main middle piece) and added them to the card front.
Ta-da! I love how the Dimensionals make this card "dance."
Here is a different angle so you can see the lift that each level has.
For this version I used the 2-7/8" diameter and the 2-1/8" diameter Layering Circle Framelits.
And this last card was my favorite. I used the Sunburst Thinlits Die. It was a lot more work to keep the sections in order after die-cutting and piece the card together. But the end result was so worth it.
